Recognising and celebrating sporting talent of Amity, the twelfth edition of the Inter Amity Sports Meet came to a riveting close on May 5, 2026 at AIS Noida. Envisioned by Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF, the annual sports extravaganza stands to encourage greater participation of students, in athletics while preparing them for higher levels of competitions. Reinforcing the importance of sports in shaping discipline, resilience, teamwork, and leadership, the meet celebrated the true spirit of sportsmanship.
Intense competition
The sports meet featured 15 disciplines including aerobics, archery, athletics, basketball, chess, cricket, football, kabaddi, karate, kho-kho, skating, table tennis, taekwondo, and yoga. More than 15,000 students from different branches of Amity Group of Schools participated enthusiastically, competing across 232 matches held at various branches of Amity International Schools.
Awards galore
The year long sports meet culminated with a glittering ceremony that saw the presentation of four champions’ flags, 455 medals and 39 trophies. The overall champions’ flag in the major school category was bagged by AIS Noida, while AIS Vasundhara 6 emerged victorious in the minor schools category. The senior champions’ flag was awarded to AIS Gurugram 46, while the junior champions’ flag was once again lifted by AIS Noida.
Starry affair
The event was graced by the Chairperson, senior advisor (sports), and principals of Amity Group of Schools. The event commenced with a welcome address by Renu Singh, director principal, AIS Noida, followed by an impressive showcase of various sports disciplines. One of the highlights of the event was a special archery demonstration by a student from Amitasha, which filled the audience with admiration and pride. Addressing the gathering, senior advisor (sports), shared that during the academic session 2025-26, 323 students represented Amity at national level sporting events and won 206 medals. Additionally, 9 students participated at international level competitions and brought laurels to the institution with their outstanding performances.
Literati Fest
AIS Gurugram 46
The school organised 15th annual inter-school ‘Literati Fest’ on May 5, 2026, centred around the theme ‘SHEvolution’: ‘Exploring Women’s Freedom, Identity, and Expression’. The fest provided a vibrant platform for young learners to celebrate literature, expression, and intellectual discourse across multiple languages and genres. The event witnessed participation from 31 schools across Delhi/NCR, bringing together nearly 450 students who showcased exceptional linguistic brilliance through a curated array of competitions. Each event was adjudged by an eminent panel of judges from the fields of literature, media, theatre, communication, and education.
The overall rolling trophy was lifted by AIS Saket. Meanwhile other branches of Amity also won several prizes in various competitions. In ‘Rhythm’, AIS Gur 46 secured the first place; ‘Dubbomania’ saw AIS Gur 46 and AIS Saket bag the first and third positions respectively, while ‘Quest’ (literary quiz) was won by AIS Gur 46 and AIS Saket secure second place. In ‘Parole D’or’ (french extempore), AIS Noida and AIS Gur 46 secured the first and third places respectively. ‘Ein Gedicht Vortragen’ (German poem recitation) placed AIS Gur 46, AIS Saket, and AIS Noida at the first, second, and third place respetively. ‘Sanskrit Laghu Natak’ witnessed AIS Saket and AIS Gur 46 secure first and second places. In ‘Curtain Call’, AIS Gur 46 secured the first place, AIS Saket came second, and AIS Gur 43 came third. ‘Eloquent Expression’ saw AGS Noida and AIS Gurugram 46 secure the second and third positions. ‘Novella’ (online story writing) was won by AIS Gur 46, AIS Saket earned the second place, and AIS Noida bagged the third prize. ‘Articolo’ (online article writing) had AIS MV and AIS Gur 46 come in first and second. Further, ‘Panorma’ (online poem writing) saw AIS Gur 46 secure the first position with AIS Noida in coming second. ‘Sur Le Lenge Esai’ (online essay writing) was won by AIS Noida and AIS Gur 46 took home the second. Vad Vivaad (Hindi debate) had AIS Gur 46 bag the prizes for ‘Best Speaker’ (against the motion) and ‘Best Interjector Voicing the Opinion’ (English debate) was won by AIS Saket as the ‘Best Speaker’ (for the motion), while AIS Gur 46 secured ‘Best Speaker’ (against the motion).

AIS Vasundhara 6
Garvit Aggarwal (IX) and Ayushmaan Singh (IX) brought home the laurels at Dron-O-War, organised by Jaypee Institute of Information Technology from May 2-3, 2026. The event celebrated engineering excellence, creativity, and strategic thinking while promoting next-generation innovation.
Garvit emerged as the winner in the ‘Payload Delivery Mission’ and ‘Design Innovation’ categories, earning a cash prize of INR 55,000 for his simulated real-world drone logistics model. His project demonstrated the transportation and delivery of payloads to designated targets while navigating multiple obstacles and maintaining stability, thrust balance, and structural integrity. Focused on practical engineering solutions, his innovation highlighted the potential use of drones in disaster relief, medical supply transportation, and last-mile delivery services. On the other hand, Ayushmaan received a special mention, along with a cash prize of INR 10,000 for ‘Design Innovation’, showcasing creativity, original research, and forward-thinking engineering in the field of UAV technology. He designed a drone entirely from scratch, moving beyond conventional concepts to create a solution aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical engineering and societal impact.
