Under the visionary leadship of Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools & RBEF, teams from two branches of Amity Group of Schools won top prizes in S&T Hackathon of the 10th India International Science Festival (IISF), an initiative of Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Science in association with Vijnana Bharati held from November 30 - December 3, 2024 at IIT Guwahati. The theme of the competition this year was ‘Transforming India into an S&T driven global manufacturing hub’.
A total of 100 projects were shortlisted for the event from schools across India, out of which 14 projects were from Amity Group of Schools (10 from AIS Vas 6 and 1 each from AIS Vasundhara 1, AIS Saket, AIS Noida and AIS Gurugram 43), with two of them winning top awards in various categories. The shortlisted projects focussed on solving real problems through scientific innovations, enriching creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Team from AIS Vasundhara 6 comprising Class IX students namely Pranjal Kankan, Darsh Aggarwal and Swastik Aggarwal bagged first prize and Best Theme Award for their project, ‘Surya Aahaar’ in the category Food, Agriculture and AYUSH. Also doing Amity proud were Vidhant Jain, Subradeep Bal and Tejas Singh from Class IX of AIS Gurugram 43 who won the Best Team Award for their project titled ‘DocHive’, an AI powered educational chatbot designed to bridge the gap in interactive learning resources.
It is also notable that all the innovative projects presented in the finals by Amity Group of Schools will be considered for further research and development in various departments under Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

The school celebrated its senior school annual day, titled ‘Sacchcharitra: Build Character, Inspire Change’, on October 22, 2024. The event saw the presence of chief guest, Captain Indu Boken Kasana, district education officer (virtual); Ms Pooja Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Humanity Foundation; Ms Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, ASFT, ASPA & ASFA; Ms Riddhima Chauhan, and other dignitaries of Amity Education Group. The programme kickstarted with an enthralling performance by Sur Sarthi, the school’s orchestra, in which over 280 students performed Raga Desh live.
School principal Arti Chopra, presented the annual report, which highlighted the school’s achievements across academics and sports, both nationally and internationally. Sankalp, a special musical performance by the students of Amitasha, Chairperson’s initiative for the empowerment of underprivileged girls.
Stealing the show was dance drama ‘Sacchcharitra: Build Character, Inspire Change’, by over 2000 students, featuring 8 grand theatrical scenes.
Further, the key highlight of the evening was ‘Vijaymanchan - The Victory Saga’, wherein accolades were awarded to senior students with outstanding achievements. The prestigious Baljeet Shastri Award was conferred upon Manvi Yadav of Class XII. Nishant Navani of Class XII was honoured with Vedvati Vidyalankar Award for academic excellence. Yuvraj Mehta (XII) earned Dhananjay Mohan Cup for his perseverance while Aditya Thakran (XII) was bestowed with Europa Indian Foundation Cup for his remarkable achievements. Arushi Jain (XII) and Aryan Arora (XII) were recipients of Chairperson’s Appreciation Award for their exceptional dedication, and Shiren Kaul (XII) claimed Founder’s Cup. Additionally, Special Appreciation Award was bestowed upon Siddhant Kaura (X), Pakhi Bisht (XI), Khyati (X), Sanavi Sood (X), Idha Nehra (X), and Aishwarya Dhawan (VII) for their excellent display of talent and commitment.

AIS Vasundhara 6
A week long Nature Explorers and Discoverer Week was held for the primary wing students from November 11-13, 2024. Throughout the week, the students indulged in activities like nature walk to observe insects, birds, plants, wildlife patterns, types of leaves etc. Further, they learnt to make collages and eco-friendly crafts using dried leaves, twigs and flowers etc. Also, the young ones participated in slogan march, carrying placards with messages to voice their commitment to environmental protection. The activities reinforced their commitment to achieve SDG 12 (Sustainable Consumption and Production).
Honouring the merit
AIS Mayur Vihar
The school celebrated Founder’s Day (Oct 24) and Scholar Badge Ceremony for the academic session 2023 - 24 on November 14, 2024. A total of 195 meritorious awardees from Class V - XI were awarded scholar and honour badges for their academic excellence. The programme commenced with lighting of the lamp and Tarana, a saraswati vandana dance performance by the students of Mudra, dance society of the school.
School principal, Meenu Kanwar presented the congratulatory address and enumerated the achievements of the students and various programs offered by Amity for students to showcase their multitude talents. Saptak, the Indian music society presented a rap eulogizing the achievers, a slam poetry by The Global Times editorial team and a melodious performance by Crescendo, the western music society of the school added a rhythmic echo to the event.
Heritage day
AIS Raipur
On October 5, 2024, a vibrant Heritage day was celebrated by the students of Class I-XI, showcasing the rich cultural diversity of Indian states namely West Bengal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. The event featured elaborate displays and performances representing each state’s unique traditions, folk music, and cultural artifacts. The Rajasthan section displayed miniature paintings, while the West Bengal corner showcased Terracotta art. Maharashtra’s presentation highlighted Lavani dance, and the Tamil Nadu section brought traditional Chettinad handicrafts to life. Parents and teachers also participated, wearing traditional outfits that complemented the students’ displays. Teachers also shared insights, stories and cultural nuances of every state.
