For the book lovers
AIS Vasundhara 6
To commemorate ‘World Book Day’, a special literary activity was organised for the students of Class VI - VII on April 23, 2026.
Titled ‘From Biographies to SDGs: Inspiring Lives, Global Goals’, the objective of the activity was to encourage reading habits, deepen understanding of inspirational personalities, and connect their life journeys with sustainable development goals.
Students were invited to explore and select biographies of eminent personalities from the library collection, read them, and discuss substantial features of how they analyse the values, achievements, and contributions of these individuals. They presented their insights through brief writeups.
For instance, while learning about social reformers like Annie Besant, Vinoba Bhave, Sarojini Naidu, and Malala Yousafzai, students connected their contributions to SDG 10: reduced inequalities. Similarly, biographies of innovators and pioneers, such as Steve Jobs and Marie Curie, helped them relate to SDG 4: quality education.
